What Is Idarubicin Used For?
Brand name: Idamycin
Idarubicin is used to treat acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in adults. It is always given as part of a combination chemotherapy regimen — not on its own.
Idamycin PFS (intravenous solution) is specifically indicated for adult patients with AML as a component of combination chemotherapy. Idarubicin Hydrochloride injection is also indicated for AML in adults, covering French-American-British (FAB) classifications M1 through M7, when used in combination with other approved antileukemic drugs.
