    Meta-analyses of small, low-quality clinical studies in patients with knee osteoarthritis show that intra-articular ozone therapy improves pain for up to 6 months when compared with placebo. However, ozone therapy seems to be less effective than hyaluronic acid or platelet-rich plasma. The validity of these analyses is limited by a high risk of bias and short duration of the included studies.
