Soybean Oil and Abemaciclib

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Abemaciclib and Soybean Oil in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Soybean Oil at all — not against Abemaciclib, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

What Soybean Oil Itself Has Been Linked To

This is not an interaction — nothing below involves Abemaciclib. It is the side-effect record for Soybean Oil on its own, from the licensed Natural Medicines monograph. If something new turns up after you add Soybean Oil, this list is the first place to look. One entry is worth acting on rather than waiting out — marked below.

  • A severe allergic reaction / An allergic reaction Worth acting on Additional detail

“Soybean oil can cause an allergic reaction in individuals allergic to the Fabaceae/Leguminosea family. Members of this family include peanuts, soybeans, and others. The inclusion of soybean oil as an inactive ingredient in a generic formulation of the drug omeprazole caused anaphylaxis in two females with soybean allergies.”

Everything above comes from the Natural Medicines adverse-effect record for Soybean Oil — expand a row for the licensed statement it rests on. We read the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of Abemaciclib’s FDA label too, and the two lists don’t meaningfully overlap — which is why no Abemaciclib column appears here.

“A daily pill for a common form of advanced breast cancer, abemaciclib (Verzenio) only helps when its blood level stays steady, so this list of 138 supplements deserves genuine care. About Soybean Oil

What is Soybean Oil?

  • Source of dietary fat and calories
  • Heart and cholesterol support
  • Skin moisturizing and barrier care
  • Part of intravenous (IV) nutrition in hospitals
  • Carrier oil in supplements and cosmetics

Soybean oil is a common edible vegetable oil rich in polyunsaturated fats, including omega-6 and some omega-3 fatty acids. As part of a balanced diet it may help support healthy cholesterol when it replaces saturated fats, but it is high in calories, and people with soy allergy should be careful. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it as a supplement.

Glycine max · Fabaceae · Oil pressed from the seeds (soybeans) · Cooking oil, softgel capsules, emulsions used in intravenous nutrition, topical skin products, and an ingredient in many processed foods

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Soybean Oil is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Soybean Oil record says about it on its own.

Soybean Oil: dosing

There is no official standardized supplement dose of soybean oil. As a food, it is used in normal cooking amounts, and as part of a healthy diet experts generally suggest replacing saturated fats with unsaturated oils rather than simply adding more oil.For supplement products such as softgels, follow the directions on the product label.

About Abemaciclib

What Is Abemaciclib Used For?

Brand name: Verzenio

Verzenio (abemaciclib) is used to treat HR-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer in adults. For early breast cancer at high risk of recurrence, Verzenio is taken alongside endocrine therapy (tamoxifen or an aromatase inhibitor) after surgery to help prevent the cancer from coming back.

For advanced or metastatic breast cancer (cancer that has spread), Verzenio can be used in combination with an aromatase inhibitor as a first hormonal treatment, in combination with fulvestrant after the cancer has progressed on endocrine therapy, or alone after prior endocrine therapy and chemotherapy have stopped working.
