Sweet Almond + Dextroamphetamine
Dextroamphetamine brand name: Dexedrine.
We found no known interaction between Sweet Almond and Dextroamphetamine in our sources. Absence of a documented interaction is not the same as proven safety, and does not guarantee one does not exist. Do not start, stop, or change a medication or supplement based on this page; confirm with your pharmacist or doctor first. Additionally, although there is no interaction, the two are separately associated with some of the same side effects, which would make a new symptom harder to attribute to one or the other.
Sweet Almond and Dextroamphetamine
We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.
No Known Interaction Found
We did not find a documented interaction between Dextroamphetamine and Sweet Almond in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.
Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Sweet Almond at all — not against Dextroamphetamine, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.
If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.
Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

See Every Supplement That Interacts With Dextroamphetamine
This page covers Sweet Almond only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Dextroamphetamine page lists 129 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), Ephedra (major), Lithium (major), Peyote (major) and Rauvolfia Vomitoria (major).
By severity: 6 major · 100 moderate · 23 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dextroamphetamine page
“Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) is a stimulant for ADHD and narcolepsy, and I read this list with genuine wariness. Six of the 129 ingredients rate major, most of them because other stimulants, ephedra being the clearest, pile extra heart rate and blood pressure on top of what the drug already produces.”

About Sweet Almond
What is Sweet Almond?
- Heart and cholesterol health
- Skin moisturizing
- Hair and scalp care
- Constipation and digestive comfort
- Nutritious snack and protein source
Sweet almonds are a nutritious tree nut rich in healthy fats, fiber, protein, vitamin E, and minerals, and they are generally safe and healthy to eat as part of a balanced diet. Almond oil is also widely used on the skin and hair. The main concern is tree-nut allergy, which can be serious; people with nut allergies should avoid almonds entirely.
Prunus dulcis · Rosaceae · Seed (nut) and oil pressed from the seed · Whole nuts, almond flour, almond milk, almond butter, almond oil (for skin and hair)
An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Sweet Almond is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Sweet Almond record says about it on its own.
Sweet Almond: dosing
There is no official "dose" for sweet almonds because they are a food. In nutrition studies, a common amount is about a small handful (roughly an ounce) per day as part of a balanced diet, but this is a general guide, not a set medicine dose. For supplements, almond flour, or almond oil products, follow the directions on the label. A standardized medicinal dose has not been established.

Brand name: Dexedrine
Dextroamphetamine treats two conditions: ADHD and narcolepsy (a sleep disorder causing uncontrollable daytime sleepiness). It is available in multiple forms — tablets, extended-release capsules, oral solution, and a skin patch — and the approved age ranges vary by product.
Oral tablets (Zenzedi, generic) and oral solutions (Procentra, generic) are approved for ADHD in children as young as 3 years old and for narcolepsy. Extended-release capsules (Dexedrine, generic) are approved for ADHD in children ages 6 to 16 and for narcolepsy. Xelstrym, the transdermal patch, is approved only for ADHD — in adults and children ages 6 and older — and is not indicated for narcolepsy.
