Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Dextroamphetamine
Dextroamphetamine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Ephedra interacts with.
Drugs with CNS stimulant properties might increase the risk of hypertension and the adverse cardiovascular effects of ephedra.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: both ephedra and Dextroamphetamine are stimulants, so putting them together is like flooring the gas pedal twice. Each one revs up your heart and nervous system, and stacking them can push things much harder than either alone. We'd worry about a racing or pounding heartbeat, a dangerous spike in blood pressure, chest pain, anxiety, trouble sleeping, and in the worst cases serious heart rhythm problems or even stroke.
This is rated a major concern, though the proof is mostly anecdotal rather than from big studies. Even so, the risk is real enough that I wouldn't combine them. Ephedra is also banned in U.S. supplements for good reason. Please loop in your pharmacist or doctor about safer choices before mixing anything with your stimulant.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dextroamphetamine page
“Dextroamphetamine (Dexedrine) is a stimulant for ADHD and narcolepsy, and I read this list with genuine wariness. Six of the 129 ingredients rate major, most of them because other stimulants, ephedra being the clearest, pile extra heart rate and blood pressure on top of what the drug already produces.”

About Ephedra
What is Ephedra?
- Weight loss
- Nasal and sinus congestion
- Asthma and breathing problems
- Boosting energy and athletic performance
- Allergies
Ephedra (ma huang) contains powerful stimulants like ephedrine that affect the heart and nervous system. Because it has been linked to serious harms including high blood pressure, stroke, and death, it is banned for use in dietary supplements in the U.S. and many other countries. We do not recommend using ephedra-containing supplements; talk to your pharmacist or doctor about safer, approved options.
