Grapes and blueberries as whole foods are generally well tolerated. Grape seed extract appears generally well tolerated in studies, with most common side effects being abdominal pain, diarrhea, dry mouth, indigestion, headache, joint pain, and nausea; anaphylaxis to grape skin is rare.

Blueberry is generally well tolerated orally, though freeze-dried blueberries can cause constipation, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting—26% of trial participants taking 50 grams daily dropped out in the first week due to stomach upset. Eyebright may cause confusion, headache, nausea, constipation, cough, shortness of breath, and nasal congestion.

Marigold flower extract is well tolerated in food amounts; topically it may cause contact dermatitis. Regarding pregnancy: grape supplements should be avoided due to limited safety data; blueberry and marigold concentrated supplements haven't been well studied in pregnancy, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist before use.

Theoretically, grape extracts may have antiplatelet effects and may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro evidence suggests that grape extracts might decrease platelet aggregation.

Ingesting grape juice with cyclosporine can reduce cyclosporine absorption.
A small pharmacokinetic study in healthy young adults shows that intake of purple grape juice 200 mL along with cyclosporine can decrease the absorption of cyclosporine by up to 30% when compared with water. Separate doses of grape juice and cyclosporine by at least 2 hours to avoid this interaction.
