Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This product contains one active ingredient: cauliflower juice at 450 mg per capsule. Cauliflower is a cruciferous vegetable that's a common food, and this supplement delivers it in concentrated form.

The capsules also contain gelatin and water as inactive ingredients to hold the product together.

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not assessable

This is a single-ingredient Cauliflower product and its label doesn't state a use — see Cauliflower's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • We looked at the product name, claims, and label statements and couldn't find a stated purpose to grade.

The evidence we hold for cauliflower juice doesn't establish that it's effective for any of the conditions it's associated with—bladder cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, diabetes, and prostate cancer all carry a rating of insufficient reliable evidence. That doesn't mean it doesn't work; it means the clinical evidence available to us isn't strong enough to make a call either way.

If you're considering this product for a specific health goal, talk with your doctor about what the current science actually supports.

How safe is it?

Some data gaps
Safety Information · database check
Some gaps

Safety data exists for these ingredients, but with some important gaps.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 0 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Cauliflower as a food is safe and well tolerated for most people. When it comes to pregnancy, eating cauliflower as a normal food is considered safe, though concentrated supplements haven't been studied well enough to know either way—so talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice if you're pregnant or planning to be.

While breastfeeding, eating cauliflower is generally safe, though some parents notice it can make babies gassier. We have no adverse effects data from trials on file for this product.

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Cauliflower.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • For scale: 186 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this product if you're on any medications metabolized by the CYP1A2 enzyme. Cauliflower juice may increase how quickly your body clears these drugs, which could lower their effectiveness—a Moderate-severity interaction.

No other medication types carry documented interactions with the ingredients we could check.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and some safety-information gaps remain.

This is a straightforward cauliflower juice supplement with no established effectiveness for any major health claim in our data. The main thing to watch is whether you take medications metabolized by the CYP1A2 enzyme, since cauliflower may speed up how your body clears them.

Before you start, check your medications with your pharmacist or doctor—they can tell you if any of yours are affected and whether this product is right for you.

Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates

Preliminary clinical evidence suggests that eating cruciferous vegetables, including broccoli, cauliflower, daikon radish sprouts, and cabbage, can increase cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) activity by 14% to 27%. Theoretically, cauliflower might increase the clearance and decrease the effects of drugs metabolized by CYP1A2. Some drugs metabolized by CYP1A2 include clozapine (Clozaril), cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril), fluvoxamine (Luvox), haloperidol (Haldol), imipramine (Tofranil), mexiletine (Mexitil), olanzapine (Zyprexa), pentazocine (Talwin), propranolol (Inderal), tacrine (Cognex), theophylline, zileuton (Zyflo), zolmitriptan (Zomig), and others.

Cauliflower Juice 450 mg by TerraVita Premium Collection: Common Questions

Does Cauliflower Juice 450 mg by TerraVita Premium Collection interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Cauliflower Juice 450 mg has a known interaction with 186 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Cauliflower Juice 450 mg contains a single active ingredient, and that one ingredient can interact with many different medications on its own. We check it against each medication and show the mechanism responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Does cauliflower juice actually work for cancer or diabetes?
The evidence we hold isn't strong enough to say. Cauliflower juice is marked as having insufficient reliable evidence for bladder cancer, breast cancer, lung cancer, diabetes, and prostate cancer. That means we don't have enough clinical data to prove it works for these—or to say it doesn't. Your doctor can discuss what the broader research shows.
Is it safe to take while I'm pregnant?
Eating cauliflower as a normal food is considered safe in pregnancy. Concentrated supplements like this one haven't been studied enough to know either way. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist for advice tailored to your situation.
Will it make my baby gassy if I'm breastfeeding?
Eating cauliflower itself is generally safe while breastfeeding, though some parents do notice it can make babies gassier. If you're concerned, you can talk it over with your doctor or pediatrician.
What exactly is in each capsule?
Each capsule contains 450 mg of cauliflower juice plus gelatin and water to make the capsule. It's a simple, single-ingredient product.
Are there any side effects I should know about?
We have no adverse effects from trials on file for this product. Cauliflower itself is a common food and safe for most people, though gas or bloating can happen with any cruciferous vegetable in some individuals.
I take medications metabolized by CYP1A2—what does that mean for me?
It means cauliflower may speed up how your body clears those drugs, making them less effective. This is a Moderate-level concern. Check with your pharmacist or doctor about your specific medications before you start—they can advise whether it's safe to combine this with what you're taking.
