This product contains 16 ingredients, most of them digestive enzymes designed to help break down different food components. Lactase breaks down lactose (milk sugar), while others like invertase, glucoamylase, maltase, and the various Thera-blend enzymes target different carbohydrates and fibers.
Phytase helps break down plant compounds. Xylitol is a sweetener that also has some research on dental health.
The inactive ingredients are common fillers and flavor enhancers — tapioca dextrose, citric acid, natural flavors and color, rice concentrate, tapioca maltodextrin, sunflower lecithin, palm oil, and guar gum — which give the tablet structure and taste.

Lactase is effective for lactose intolerance — it helps people who can't digest milk sugar digest it better. Xylitol is likely effective for preventing tooth decay (dental caries).
The evidence for the other enzymes in this product — invertase, glucoamylase, alpha-galactosidase, xylanase, pectinase, maltase, beta-glucanase, hemicellulase, and phytase — isn't established in the data we hold. For phytase specifically, the evidence for aging skin, iron deficiency anemia, zinc deficiency, child growth, and blepharospasm is insufficient.
The product doesn't address colic or prematurity with reliable evidence, either.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Lactase is generally well tolerated, though a rare occupational allergy has been reported in workers exposed to powdered lactase. Xylitol is generally safe in the amounts found in food and supplements, but high doses (30-40 grams) can cause diarrhea, gas, and bloating.
At normal chewable-tablet doses, it's unlikely to cause these effects. Phytase carries limited human safety data — occupational exposure to airborne powder has triggered allergic asthma and a lung reaction called hypersensitivity pneumonitis, though that's not relevant to taking a chewable tablet.
Some people have reported allergic reactions to xylitol, including a rare case of anaphylaxis in a child, though true allergy is uncommon.
