Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This supplement contains one active ingredient: choline bitartrate, a compound that supplies choline, a nutrient your body uses in nerve and brain function. The capsule also contains gelatin and rice flour as inactive ingredients (binders and fillers).

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not assessable

This is a single-ingredient Choline product and its label doesn't state a use — see Choline's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • We looked at the product name, claims, and label statements and couldn't find a stated purpose to grade.

The evidence we hold on choline bitartrate is mixed and limited. For athletic performance, the data suggests it is possibly ineffective.

For other uses listed — age-related cognitive decline, Alzheimer disease, hay fever, bronchitis, and a condition called TPN-associated fatty liver — there isn't enough reliable evidence to rate how well it works. If you're considering this for a specific health goal, talk with your doctor about whether the research supports it for you.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Choline bitartrate is generally well tolerated at normal doses. At high doses above 3.5 grams daily, it can cause side effects including a fishy body odor, diarrhea, nausea, sweating, and vomiting.

This product contains 250 mg daily, well below that upper limit. Choline is important during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but you should use only the dose your doctor or midwife advises — don't self-dose a supplement without checking first.

Minor only

Only Minor-severity interactions are documented for these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Choline.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Minor.
  • For scale: 16 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Before taking this supplement, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you use atropine or other anticholinergic medications — choline may theoretically reduce their effectiveness in the brain. Although we've identified one drug type affected, these interactions span 16 individual medications, so run your prescriptions through the checker on this page.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Only minor medication interactions are documented, and safety information is well characterized.

Choline bitartrate might appeal to someone looking to support brain and nerve function, but the evidence for most claimed uses is weak or missing. If you take anticholinergic medications (drugs that dry out your mouth or treat overactive bladder), you'll want to confirm with your doctor or pharmacist that this supplement is okay for you.

Check your specific medications before starting, and talk with your healthcare provider about whether this fits your health goals.

Choline Bitartrate 250 mg daily by Infiniti Creations: Common Questions

Does Choline Bitartrate 250 mg daily by Infiniti Creations interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Choline Bitartrate 250 mg daily has a known interaction with 16 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Choline Bitartrate 250 mg daily contains a single active ingredient, and that one ingredient can interact with many different medications on its own. We check it against each medication and show the mechanism responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Is choline safe to take while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Choline is important during both pregnancy and breastfeeding, but you should use only the dose your doctor advises — whether from prenatal vitamins or a separate supplement. Don't self-dose without checking with your doctor or midwife first.
Can this supplement help with memory or Alzheimer disease?
The evidence we hold isn't strong enough to say whether choline helps with age-related memory loss or Alzheimer disease. If you're interested in taking it for that reason, talk with your doctor about what research actually supports it for you.
What side effects can choline cause?
At the dose in this product (250 mg daily), choline is well tolerated. At much higher doses above 3.5 grams daily, it can cause a fishy body odor, diarrhea, nausea, sweating, and vomiting. You'd need to take a lot more than this supplement provides to hit those levels.

The data suggests choline is not effective for athletic performance, so there's no reason to expect it to help you train or compete better.
What are the inactive ingredients in this capsule?
The capsule contains gelatin and rice flour as binders and fillers to hold the choline bitartrate together.
