This capsule contains 4 active ingredients: two live-organism probiotics — Bacillus coagulans (Lactospore) and Saccharomyces boulardii (BioOptima) — plus Bifidobacterium lactis Bl-04 and Fibersol-2 prebiotic dextrin fiber. Probiotics are beneficial bacteria and yeasts meant to support your gut flora; the prebiotic fiber feeds them.
The capsule also holds inactive ingredients including hypromellose, rice flour, talc, dicalcium phosphate, magnesium stearate, and silica.
Does it work?

Saccharomyces boulardii shows possibly effective evidence for travelers' diarrhea, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, rotaviral diarrhea, Clostridioides difficile infection, necrotizing enterocolitis, and Helicobacter pylori. Bacillus coagulans is possibly effective for constipation and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), but evidence is insufficient to rate it for antibiotic-associated diarrhea, athletic performance, cancer, or nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
We hold no effectiveness data for Bifidobacterium lactis Bl-04 or the prebiotic fiber in the product facts we have.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Both live-organism ingredients are generally well tolerated in healthy adults, but the safety evidence varies and is not extensive — check with your doctor or pharmacist before using. Because these are live microorganisms, there's a theoretical risk of infection in people who are severely ill, immunocompromised, or have central venous catheters or indwelling lines; preterm infants fall into this higher-risk group.
Saccharomyces boulardii has rarely caused fungemia (a blood infection) in critically ill patients and occasionally triggered stomach complaints like cramps, bloating, nausea, or loss of appetite.

Theoretically, taking antibiotics with Bacillus coagulans might decrease the effectiveness of B. coagulans.
B. coagulans preparations usually contain live and active organisms. Therefore, simultaneously taking antibiotics might kill a significant number of the organisms. Tell patients to separate administration of antibiotics and B. coagulans preparations by at least two hours.

Antifungals
Theoretically, taking antifungals with Saccharomyces boulardii might decrease the effectiveness of Saccharomyces boulardii.
S. boulardii is a live yeast. Therefore, simultaneously taking antifungals might kill a significant number of the organisms.
