What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: reduced glutathione, a powerful antioxidant your cells naturally make. It's a small protein composed of three amino acids that your body uses to defend against oxidative stress—the wear and tear from normal metabolism.
The powder form lets you mix it into water or a beverage. There are no inactive ingredients listed.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for reduced glutathione is mixed. It's possibly effective for reducing nerve damage (neurotoxicity) caused by cisplatin, a chemotherapy drug.
For other uses—nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, Alzheimer disease, athletic performance, and cataracts—the evidence isn't established enough for us to rate it. That doesn't mean it doesn't work; it means we don't have reliable data yet.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Oral reduced glutathione appears generally well tolerated in the short term, but we don't have enough long-term safety data. If you have asthma, be aware that inhaled forms of glutathione can trigger airway narrowing and coughing.
During pregnancy, there isn't enough reliable safety information, so you should avoid it unless your doctor advises otherwise. The same goes for breastfeeding—the data isn't there, so caution and avoidance are recommended.

The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with some supporting evidence behind its ingredients' uses. No medication interactions are currently documented, and safety information is well characterized.
Reduced glutathione may be worth considering if you're dealing with cisplatin-related nerve damage and your oncologist approves. If you're taking it for other reasons like liver health or athletic performance, know that the evidence isn't established yet.
Talk to your pharmacist before starting, especially if you're pregnant, breastfeeding, or have asthma.
