This product contains one active ingredient: lycopene, a red pigment found naturally in tomatoes and other red fruits. Lycopene is a carotenoid — a plant compound your body can convert to vitamin A.
The capsule also contains gelatin and rice powder as inactive ingredients.

Couldn't assess
Lycopene is possibly effective for prostate cancer based on the evidence we hold. For bladder cancer, it's rated possibly ineffective.
The data on diabetes and hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol) is too limited to rate, and we don't have enough evidence to say whether it helps with exercise-induced asthma or ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease).
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Lycopene from food is considered safe, and supplement doses are generally well tolerated. Some people do report gastrointestinal side effects — diarrhea, gas, bloating, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, and loss of appetite — though these are usually mild.
For pregnancy, food amounts are fine, but supplement doses haven't been well studied; talk with your doctor before taking supplements. The same goes for breastfeeding — there isn't enough safety data on supplements to know either way, so check with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice.
