What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking MCT Oil against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
ALLMAX MCT Oil is made of 2 active ingredients: caprylic acid and capric acid, both medium-chain fatty acids derived from coconut or palm oil. These are the compounds that give MCT oil its characteristic properties.
The product contains no inactive ingredients listed.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
We hold effectiveness ratings for caprylic acid only. The evidence for epilepsy and essential tremor is insufficient to rate—meaning the data available doesn't yet support a clear claim about whether it works for these uses.
We couldn't find established effectiveness data in our records for capric acid.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Caprylic acid is generally recognized as safe in food amounts, but supplement doses are less well studied, so safety data is limited. The caution here is that you should avoid it unless your doctor approves.
In short-term use, caprylic acid is generally well tolerated. The most common side effects are mild abdominal discomfort and change in taste.
Less often, people report mild dizziness, headache, or fatigue. Caprylic acid occurs naturally in breast milk, but the safety of concentrated supplements during lactation isn't known, so use caution and talk with your doctor.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking ALLMAX MCT Oil, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take warfarin or other blood thinners, any blood pressure medication, or NSAIDs like ibuprofen or naproxen. These are the medication types documented to interact with caprylic acid in this product.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
MCT oil might interest people looking for a potential aid for certain neurological conditions, though the evidence isn't established yet. If you take warfarin, blood pressure medications, or regular NSAIDs, check with your doctor or pharmacist before adding this product—the interactions are theoretical but worth confirming with your own prescriber.
Start with a small dose to watch for gastrointestinal side effects, and talk it over with your healthcare provider to make sure it fits your situation.

MCT Oil by ALLMAX Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
ALLMAX MCT Oil contains caprylic acid, which has documented interactions with three medication types.
The most serious concern is with blood thinners like warfarin (Coumarin)—caprylic acid may theoretically increase warfarin levels in your blood, though this hasn't been reported in humans yet. It's based on lab research suggesting caprylic acid might displace warfarin from its binding sites.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Caprylic acid also interacts with blood pressure medications (antihypertensives) and NSAIDs like ibuprofen. With blood pressure drugs, there's a theoretical risk of lower blood pressure.
With NSAIDs, caprylic acid might raise their levels in your blood, again through a displacement mechanism not yet seen in human studies.
We could not check capric acid for interactions—we hold no data on it. Medium chain triglyceride is a blend, so its individual components (which include the two acids above) are covered separately.
Altogether, these interactions span 262 individual medications. If you take warfarin, any blood pressure medication, or regular NSAIDs, run your exact drugs through the checker below before starting this product.

Caprylic Acid
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, caprylic acid might increase the risk of hypotension when used with antihypertensive drugs.
Animal research suggests that caprylic acid might have positive inotropic effects, resulting in reduced arterial pressure and vascular resistance and increased cardiac output.
Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (Nsaids)
Theoretically, caprylic acid might increase plasma concentrations of NSAIDs.
In vitro research suggests that caprylic acid might displace NSAIDs from binding sites on albumin. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
Theoretically, caprylic acid might increase plasma concentrations of warfarin.
In vitro research suggests that high doses of caprylic acid might displace warfarin from albumin binding sites. This effect has not been reported in humans.
