Monolaurin
Monolaurin is a natural compound derived from lauric acid, a fatty acid found in coconut oil and breast milk. It possesses antimicrobial properties and is known for its potential to combat bacteria, viruses, and certain fungi. Monolaurin is believed to disrupt the lipid membranes of these microorganisms, interfering with their replication and survival. It has been explored for its potential therapeutic use in various health conditions, including viral infections like herpes and influenza.

Formula |
- Directions: Monolaurin is a supplement derived from lauric acid and glycerin, and is a byproduct of coconut fat. Lauric acid is one of the compounds found in high amounts in coconut oil and is converted by the body into Monolaurin. This process is inefficient so a large amount of of coconut oil would need to be ingested to get an adequate dosage of Monolaurin. Monolaurin is commonly used for its ability to support digestive and immune system health.
