Rutin and nattokinase are generally well tolerated short-term, but long-term safety data are limited. Rutin may cause headache, flushing, or rashes in some people.

Nattokinase carries a blood-thinning effect, so it poses a bleeding risk — including a reported case of brain bleeding when combined with aspirin. Hypersensitivity reactions to natto, including severe allergic reactions, can occur in sensitive individuals.

For pregnancy, nattokinase is not recommended due to insufficient safety data. Rutin is rated likely safe in pregnancy, but safety while breastfeeding is unknown for both rutin and nattokinase, so it's best to avoid supplement doses.

Formula

Nattokinase is a fibrinolytic enzyme produced from Natto, a Japanese fermented soy product. The Nattokinase in this formula has high enzyme activity providing 20,000 fibrin units (FU) per gram and does not contain vitamin K. The Plus in this formula is the inclusion of another fibrinolytic enzyme, Serratiopeptidase with Rutin, a flavonoid that acts as a free radical scavenger to support capillary strength and vascular health.

Formulation

The Nattokinase in this formula has high enzyme activity providing 20,000 fibrin units (FU) per gram and does not contain Vitamin K.

Nattokinase might increase the risk of bleeding when used with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
Nattokinase has thrombolytic and anticoagulant effects. There is a case report of intracranial hemorrhage in a patient who added nattokinase to aspirin therapy.
