What’s inside
Full disclosure
This product contains one active ingredient: freeze-dried stinging nettle leaf at 300 mg per capsule. The capsule itself is made with hypromellose, a standard inactive ingredient used in supplement capsules.
Does it work?
Not established
The data we hold shows stinging nettle is possibly effective for diabetes. For allergic rhinitis (hay fever), anemia, asthma, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and gingivitis, the evidence isn't established — there's insufficient reliable data to say whether it works for these uses.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
When taken by mouth as directed, stinging nettle is generally well tolerated, though quality varies by product. Some people report constipation or diarrhea.
If you touch the fresh plant, you may get a localized rash, itching, or stinging sensation. Pregnancy safety data advises against taking this product — there's traditional concern about effects on the uterus.
Safety during breastfeeding hasn't been established either, so avoid it until you talk with your doctor. A rare case of liver injury has been reported, though it involved nettle in a multi-ingredient tea, not nettle alone.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take this, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on blood thinners like warfarin, diabetes medications, diuretics (water pills), or lithium. All of these have Moderate-severity interactions documented with stinging nettle.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Nettle Leaf may be worth considering if you're interested in blood sugar support, but it's not right for you if you take blood thinners, diabetes drugs, water pills, lithium, or if you're pregnant or breastfeeding. Check your medications with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

Nettle Leaf 300 mg by Eclectic Herb Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Nettle Leaf 300 mg by Eclectic Herb can interact with medications through its stinging nettle content.
The most serious concern is with blood thinners like warfarin (Coumadin) — nettle is high in vitamin K, which can reduce how well these drugs work when you take large amounts of the supplement.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
You'll also want to be careful if you take diabetes medications, water pills (diuretics), or lithium. With diabetes drugs, nettle might lower your blood sugar further than intended.
With diuretics, the combination could have extra fluid-removal effects. And with lithium, nettle's diuretic properties might interfere with how your body clears the drug, potentially raising its level — your dose may need adjusting.
Altogether, these interactions span 164 individual medications. Check your exact prescriptions with the tool on this page before you start, and definitely talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you take any of these drug types.
