Alpha-GPC is possibly effective for Alzheimer disease, but evidence for brain tumor, cognitive function, vascular dementia, and stroke is insufficient. Glycerol is likely effective for constipation and possibly effective for athletic performance, though it's likely ineffective for meningitis, prematurity, and stroke.
Beta Alanine is possibly effective for athletic and physical performance, but evidence for age-related cognitive decline, COPD, cognitive function, and menopausal symptoms is insufficient. For the three ingredients we could not check—AstraGin, NO3-T, and L-Citruline—effectiveness data is not on file.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Alpha-GPC is generally well tolerated, though long-term safety isn't fully established. Rare side effects include dizziness, excitation, headache, insomnia, diarrhea, heartburn, nausea, and vomiting.
Stroke has been rarely reported with oral use of at least 2 months compared to non-users. Glycerol is generally well tolerated in normal amounts, but large doses can cause stomach upset and dehydration concerns.
Common side effects are bloating, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, and headache. Beta Alanine is generally well tolerated but commonly causes harmless skin tingling (paresthesias) and flushing, usually starting on the scalp within 20 minutes and lasting about an hour—severity depends on dose.
Pregnancy and lactation data is insufficient for both alpha-GPC and beta-alanine; talk to your doctor before use if you're pregnant or nursing. Glycerol safety data in pregnancy and lactation is also limited.
