Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This product contains one active ingredient: raspberry ketone at 600 mg per capsule. The capsule itself is vegetarian — a plant-based shell with no other inactive ingredients listed.

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not established

The graded evidence we hold for these ingredients covers different conditions than the ones this product is marketed for, so there's no established rating for its stated use — see Raspberry Ketone's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • The label markets this product for: weight management and loss support.
  • We looked for evidence on: Obesity, Weight loss, Metabolic support, Body composition.
  • The closest evidence on file: Raspberry Ketone is rated "Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate" for Obesity (Natural Medicines).

The evidence for what raspberry ketone does isn't established in our data. Studies haven't gathered enough reliable evidence to rate it for alopecia areata (a hair-loss condition) or obesity, the two uses listed.

That doesn't mean it won't work for you — it means the science isn't settled yet.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Raspberry ketone is used safely in foods, but there's very limited human data on high supplement doses. Because of structural similarity to stimulant compounds, heart palpitations, rapid heartbeat, elevated blood pressure, and cases of dangerous heart rhythms have been reported — though these are rare and not well studied.

The safety information we have advises against use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, so talk with your doctor or pharmacist if you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or nursing.

The most serious documented interaction for these ingredients is Moderate. Check your medications for a personalized result.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Raspberry Ketone.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs.
  • For scale: 174 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Before taking this product, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you're on warfarin or any blood thinner — your dose may need adjustment. Also flag any stimulant drugs you're taking, including decongestants, ADHD medications, or stimulant-based weight-loss products, since raspberry ketone may increase your risk of heart-related side effects.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no established evidence rating for its marketed use. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.

Raspberry Ketones Pure might be worth considering if you're interested in its effects on hair loss or weight, but the evidence for either use isn't solid yet. If you take blood thinners like warfarin or stimulant medications, this one needs a careful conversation with your doctor or pharmacist first — dose adjustments may be necessary.

Heart side effects, though uncommon, have been reported, so it's worth checking in before you start.

Stimulant Drugs

Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase the risk of adverse cardiovascular effects with stimulant drugs.
Structurally, raspberry ketone resembles synephrine, a known stimulant agent. Heart palpitations, elevated blood pressure, coronary vasospasm, pulseless electrical activity arrest, and resistant polymorphic ventricular tachycardia have been reported in patients taking raspberry ketone.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Warfarin (Coumadin)

Theoretically, raspberry ketone might increase warfarin dose requirements.
In one case report, a patient taking warfarin 55 mg per week had a decrease in INR over a period of one month while taking raspberry ketone 250 mg daily. A warfarin dose increase to 70 mg per week was necessary to maintain a therapeutic INR while taking raspberry ketone. The mechanism for this potential interaction is not known.

Raspberry Ketones Pure 600 mg by Shape Organics: Common Questions

Does Raspberry Ketones Pure 600 mg by Shape Organics interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Raspberry Ketones Pure 600 mg has a known interaction with 174 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Raspberry Ketones Pure 600 mg contains a single active ingredient, and that one ingredient can interact with many different medications on its own. We check it against each medication and show the mechanism responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Can I take Raspberry Ketones Pure if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
No — the safety data advises against it during pregnancy and while breastfeeding. There isn't enough information to know it's safe at supplement doses. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using it if you're pregnant, planning pregnancy, or nursing.
Does raspberry ketone actually work for weight loss or hair loss?
The science isn't there yet. We don't have enough reliable evidence to say whether it works for either alopecia areata (a hair-loss condition) or obesity. That's not a "no" — just that more research is needed.
What side effects should I watch for?
Heart-related effects are the main concern: palpitations, rapid heartbeat, and elevated blood pressure have been reported, though they're not common and the product isn't well studied in humans. A few people have also reported sweating, diarrhea, and shakiness. If you feel chest discomfort or your heart racing, stop and contact your doctor.
Why does this interact with warfarin?
Raspberry ketone appears to affect how your body processes warfarin, making it work less effectively. That means your blood may not thin as much as it should, raising clot risk — which is why your doctor may need to raise your warfarin dose to keep you protected.
Are there any fillers or other ingredients?
The capsule is a vegetarian shell — that's the only inactive ingredient. The active ingredient is the 600 mg of raspberry ketone itself.
