What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Serracor-NK against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

HelloPharmacist Scorecard of Serracor-NK by AST Enzymes
Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
Serracor-NK contains 10 ingredients, including several active enzymes and plant compounds. Magnesium is a mineral that supports nerve and muscle function and helps with digestion and blood sugar control.
Rutin is a plant compound; papain and bromelain are digestive enzymes from papaya and pineapple respectively. Lipase breaks down dietary fats.
Amla (Indian gooseberry) is a fruit extract. Coenzyme Q-10 is an antioxidant your body makes naturally.
Nattokinase is an enzyme derived from fermented soybeans. Proteases are additional protein-digesting enzymes.
The product also contains enzyme blends (Serracor-NK Blend, SEBkinase Blend, and Enzyme and Cofactor Blend) whose individual component ingredients are listed separately. Inactive ingredients include cellulose, maltodextrin, and silica.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for most of Serracor-NK's ingredients is limited. Magnesium is effective for dyspepsia (indigestion), constipation, magnesium deficiency, and pre-eclampsia in pregnancy.
Amla is possibly effective for acid reflux (GERD) and high cholesterol. Coenzyme Q-10 is likely effective for coenzyme Q-10 deficiency and possibly effective for fibromyalgia, migraine headache, heart failure, and diabetic nerve pain.
For rutin, bromelain, lipase, nattokinase, proteases, and the enzyme blends, we hold no evidence establishing effectiveness — these ingredients are not yet rated in the data we have.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Magnesium is generally well tolerated at recommended doses but can cause diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and gastrointestinal irritation orally. Rare cases of stomach blockage (bezoar) have been reported with high daily doses.
Rutin is generally well tolerated but may cause headache, flushing, or rash in some people; long-term safety data are limited. Papain is normally tolerated as food but may cause allergic reactions, digestive upset, or in rare cases serious stomach injury at high doses.
Bromelain is generally well tolerated short-term but may cause diarrhea, gas, nausea, or headache. Coenzyme Q-10 is generally well tolerated; fewer than 1% of users report mild stomach upset, nausea, or diarrhea.
Nattokinase carries rare reports of bleeding, including one case of brain hemorrhage when combined with aspirin. For pregnancy, magnesium is needed but supplements should be used only under doctor guidance; amla and bromelain lack sufficient safety data so avoid them; papain concentrates should be avoided; rutin, lipase, nattokinase, and proteases also lack adequate pregnancy safety data.
For breastfeeding, magnesium at normal dietary amounts is acceptable but check with your doctor before supplements; rutin, bromelain, nattokinase, and proteases are best avoided; papain safety is unknown so avoid it; lipase and coenzyme Q-10 safety has not been well studied.
Meds to double-check
Major interaction found
Before taking Serracor-NK, double-check your medications for: levodopa/carbidopa (Sinemet) — a Major interaction with magnesium; then blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs (warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel), anticoagulants, blood pressure medications, diabetes drugs, quinolone or tetracycline antibiotics, bisphosphonates, skeletal muscle relaxants, potassium-sparing diuretics, acid reducers, sulfonylurea diabetes drugs, and chemotherapy drugs — all Moderate interactions. No interactions are documented for ingredients we could fully check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Major medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Serracor-NK may help with indigestion and constipation through its magnesium and enzyme content, but it carries significant interaction risks — especially for people on Parkinson's medications, blood thinners, diabetes drugs, antibiotics, or blood pressure medication. If you take any prescription drugs, check your exact medications with the tool below before starting.

Serracor-NK by AST Enzymes Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Serracor-NK by AST Enzymes contains several ingredients that interact with medications.
The most serious concern is magnesium's Major-severity interaction with levodopa/carbidopa (Sinemet), a Parkinson's drug — magnesium can cut levodopa levels by 35% and carbidopa by 81%, reducing the drug's effectiveness.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Moderate interactions affect a wide range of medication types. Magnesium reduces absorption of quinolone and bisphosphonate antibiotics, decreases the effects of skeletal muscle relaxants, can raise blood pressure medication (calcium channel blockers) effects unpredictably, and increases insulin response from sulfonylurea diabetes drugs, raising low blood sugar risk.
It also interferes with potassium-sparing diuretics and reduces the laxative benefit of magnesium oxide when acid reducers are present. Rutin and Indian gooseberry (amla) may increase low blood sugar risk with diabetes medications.
Papain theoretically raises warfarin (a blood thinner) effects. Bromelain and amla may increase bleeding risk with blood thinners and antiplatelet drugs like aspirin and clopidogrel.
Nattokinase carries moderate risk of bleeding with anticoagulants and antiplatelet drugs, and may lower blood pressure further with blood pressure medications. Coenzyme Q-10 might reduce warfarin's blood-thinning effect and theoretically interfere with certain chemotherapy drugs; it may also lower blood pressure additively.
Bromelain has a Minor interaction with tetracycline antibiotics.
We could not check Peptizyme SP EN for interactions. Altogether, these interactions span 537 individual medications.
