🩺 Clinical
Alka-Seltzer Heartburn and Pain is an over-the-counter effervescent tablet taken by mouth. It contains aspirin, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug commonly used to relieve minor aches, pains, and fever, along with sodium bicarbonate and citric acid, which function as antacids to help neutralize stomach acid and provide relief from heartburn and indigestion. The effervescent formulation dissolves in water to create a fizzy drink.
