Clinical
Care One Original Antacid and Pain Relief is an over-the-counter effervescent tablet taken by mouth that combines aspirin with sodium bicarbonate and citric acid. Aspirin is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug typically used to relieve minor aches, pains, and fever. Sodium bicarbonate functions as an antacid to help neutralize stomach acid, while citric acid is included to help dissolve the tablet in water and aid the antacid action. This combination product is marketed under FDA's over-the-counter monograph rules for antacid and pain relief tablets.
