Clinical
This is an over-the-counter topical lotion containing petrolatum, an occlusive moisturizer commonly used to help soften and protect dry skin. Petrolatum functions as an emollient that seals moisture into the skin and is widely found in skin care products designed for routine dry skin relief. This product is marketed under FDA's OTC monograph rules for skin protectants rather than as an individually approved drug application.
