Clinical
This is an over-the-counter kit containing daytime and nighttime formulations for sinus pressure and pain relief. The products combine acetaminophen (a pain reliever and fever reducer), phenylephrine (a decongestant that narrows blood vessels to relieve sinus congestion), and guaifenesin (an expectorant that helps thin mucus). The nighttime formula also includes diphenhydramine, an antihistamine that is typically used to reduce allergy symptoms and promote drowsiness. This kit is marketed under FDA's over-the-counter monograph guidelines for cough and cold products.
