Acetaminophen is used to relieve mild to moderate pain and to reduce fever. Acetaminophen is in a class of medications called analgesics (pain relievers) and antipyretics (fever reducers). It works by changing the way the body senses pain and by cooling the body.
Read the full MedlinePlus article ↗This is an over-the-counter kit containing daytime and nighttime formulations for managing sinus and cold symptoms. The day formulation typically contains a decongestant to help relieve nasal congestion and a pain reliever/fever reducer, without ingredients that cause drowsiness. The night formulation usually includes similar active ingredients plus an antihistamine to promote sleep while addressing cold and sinus discomfort. As an OTC monograph product, it follows FDA's established rules for cold and sinus remedy combinations rather than being individually reviewed.
