Clinical
Carmex Daily Care Moisturizing Lip Balm Fresh Cherry SPF 15 is a topical salve applied to the lips. It contains two active ingredients, octinoxate and oxybenzone, which function as ultraviolet (UV) filters commonly used in sunscreen products to help protect skin from sun exposure. This is an over-the-counter monograph product, meaning it is marketed under FDA's established rule-book for lip balms and sunscreen products rather than as an individually reviewed drug application.
