Clinical
This is an over-the-counter lip balm salve marketed under FDA's established category rules for sunscreen products. It contains four ultraviolet (UV) light-absorbing chemicals (avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate, and octocrylene) that are typically included in sunscreen formulations to help protect skin from sun exposure, plus white petrolatum, a moisturizing base ingredient commonly found in lip balms. The product is applied topically to the lips and is labeled with SPF 30, indicating its sun protection strength rating in that category.
