Enoxaparin is used to prevent and treat deep vein thrombosis (DVT; blood clots that form in the veins, typically in the legs). It is also used to prevent complications from angina (chest pain) and heart attacks. Enoxaparin is in a class of medications called low molecular weight heparins.
