Essence Light Sunscreen SPF 50 PA is a topical lotion containing four UV-filtering ingredients commonly used in sunscreen products. Avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate, and octocrylene function as organic sunscreen agents that are typically included to help absorb ultraviolet radiation. This is an over-the-counter monograph product, meaning it is marketed under the FDA's established rules for sunscreen formulations rather than as an individually reviewed new drug application.
