Clinical
This is an over-the-counter ointment applied to the skin that contains sulfur as its active ingredient. Sulfur is commonly used in acne and skin care products to help reduce excess oil and address certain types of skin blemishes. This product is marketed under FDA's established rules for over-the-counter acne treatments rather than as an individually reviewed medication. The ointment form allows the sulfur to be spread directly on affected skin areas.
