Clinical
This is an over-the-counter lozenge containing benzocaine and menthol, taken by mouth. Benzocaine is a local anesthetic typically used to numb minor pain and irritation in the mouth and throat. Menthol is commonly used for its cooling sensation and is often included in throat lozenges to soothe discomfort. This product is marketed under the FDA's over-the-counter monograph rules for oral anesthetic lozenges.
