Read the full MedlinePlus article ↗This is an OTC monograph kit containing two liquid formulas taken by mouth for daytime and nighttime symptom relief during cold and flu. The daytime formula contains acetaminophen (a pain reliever and fever reducer) and dextromethorphan (a cough suppressant). The nighttime formula adds doxylamine succinate, which is a sedating antihistamine typically used to promote sleep while the other ingredients address cold and flu symptoms.
