Clinical
This is a topical ointment marketed as an over-the-counter diaper rash skin protectant under FDA's OTC monograph rules. It contains lanolin and petrolatum, two occlusive moisturizers that are commonly used to protect and soften skin by forming a water-resistant barrier. This type of product is typically applied to areas of skin irritation to help lock in moisture and reduce contact with irritants.
