🩺 Clinical
This is an over-the-counter oral liquid cough and cold medicine sold under FDA's monograph system for this product category. It contains three active ingredients: dextromethorphan hydrobromide, which is typically used to suppress cough; guaifenesin, an expectorant commonly used to thin mucus and make coughs more productive; and phenylephrine hydrochloride, a decongestant typically used to relieve nasal and sinus congestion. The combination is intended for people seeking relief from multiple cold and cough symptoms at once.
