Clinical
This is an over-the-counter topical cream marketed under the FDA's OTC monograph rule for first aid burn products. It contains benzalkonium chloride, an antiseptic agent typically used to help reduce bacteria on the skin, and lidocaine hydrochloride, a local anesthetic commonly used to numb minor pain and discomfort. The cream is intended for topical application to minor burns and similar minor skin injuries. Because this is an OTC monograph product, it follows established FDA guidelines for this category rather than undergoing individual product approval.
