Clinical
This is a topical cream sold over the counter as a first aid antiseptic and pain reliever. It contains benzalkonium chloride, an antimicrobial agent typically used to reduce bacteria on the skin, and lidocaine hydrochloride, a local anesthetic commonly used to numb minor pain and discomfort. The product is marketed under the FDA's over-the-counter monograph rules for this drug category, meaning it follows established standards for first aid antiseptic and pain-relieving creams rather than being individually reviewed by the FDA.
