Clinical
This is a topical lip balm ointment containing four active sunscreen ingredients: avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate, and octocrylene. These ingredients function as ultraviolet (UV) filters that are typically used together in sunscreen products to help block and absorb UV rays from the sun. The product is formulated as an over-the-counter monograph drug, meaning it follows established FDA guidelines for sunscreen products rather than being individually approved. Sun Bum Coconut Lip 30 is marketed as a two-pack lip balm with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 30.
