Clinical
Gerigentle-Vitamins A and D is a topical ointment containing petrolatum as its active ingredient. Petrolatum is commonly used as an occlusive moisturizer and skin protectant in over-the-counter products. It functions to help trap moisture in the skin and create a protective barrier. This is an OTC monograph drug, meaning it is marketed under FDA's established guidelines for this category of product.
