Clinical
Desoximetasone topical is used to treat the redness, swelling, itching, and discomfort of various skin conditions, including psoriasis (a skin disease in which red, scaly patches form on some areas of the body and eczema (a skin disease that causes the skin to be dry and itchy and to sometimes develop red, scaly rashes). Desoximetasone is in a class of medications called corticosteroids. It works by activating natural substances in the skin to reduce swelling, redness, and itching.

- You put a thin film on the affected skin, usually twice a day, and rub it in gently. Don't cover the spray area with a bandage unless your doctor tells you to. Keep it away from yo...
- Stop when your skin is under control. The label doesn't recommend using the spray beyond 4 weeks. Avoid your face, armpits and groin, and don't use it on skin that has thinned.
- The most common are dryness, irritation and itching where you apply it. Call your doctor if you notice vision changes, thinning skin, stretch marks, or signs of infection.
