Concomitant use of cycloSPORINE and fenofibrate may decrease renal function1. Immunosuppressants, such as cycloSPORINE may decrease creatinine clearance and may rise serum creatinine 2. The benefits and risks of taking fenofibrate together with immunosuppressants and other potentially nephrotoxic agents, such as cycloSPORINE, should be carefully considered. If cycloSPORINE and fenofibrate are given together, use the lowest effective dose of fenofibrate and monitor renal function 3456.
