Use of miFEPRIStone in patients receiving chronic corticosteroid therapy is contraindicated due to the risk of acute adrenal insufficiency12, especially in patients with medical conditions in which chronic corticosteroid therapy is lifesaving (eg, immunosuppression in organ transplantation). Coadministration of miFEPRIStone may lead to exacerbation or deterioration of conditions for which long-term corticosteroid use is necessary (eg, autoimmune disorders); miFEPRIStone antagonizes the desired effects of glucocorticoid in these clinical settings 2.
