Mometasone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Adrafinil interacts with.

Theoretically, adrafanil might reduce levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
Adrafinil is a precursor to the stimulant prescription drug modafinil. Modafinil has been shown to weakly induce CYP3A4 activity.

Here's the gist for mometasone (like Elocon cream or Asmanex inhaler). Once your body turns adrafinil into modafinil, that modafinil can mildly speed up a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, which is one of the pathways that breaks down corticosteroids like mometasone. In theory, faster breakdown could mean a little less drug hanging around, so the medicine might work slightly less well at calming things like itching, redness, or airway inflammation.

That said, this is purely theoretical and based on how the drugs behave, not on real cases. Mometasone is also applied to the skin or inhaled and acts mostly where you put it, so a weak liver effect is unlikely to matter much. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Mometasone Furoate topical products are used to relieve the inflammation and itching (pruritus) that come with corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses — a broad category of skin conditions that respond to steroid treatment.

Mometasone Furoate Topical Solution (Lotion) is specifically indicated for these skin conditions in patients 12 years of age and older. Mometasone Furoate cream may be used in adults and in children 2 years of age and older.
