Flurbiprofen falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Adrafinil interacts with.

Theoretically, adrafinil might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP2C9 substrates.
Adrafinil is a precursor to the stimulant prescription drug modafinil. Modafinil has been shown to reduce CYP2C9 expression in vitro.

Here's the gist for these two together. Your body clears flurbiprofen mainly through a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. Adrafinil turns into modafinil in your body, and in lab studies modafinil appeared to slow that same enzyme down. If that holds true in people, flurbiprofen could clear a bit more slowly and build up, which might mean stronger NSAID effects and a higher chance of side effects like stomach upset, heartburn, ulcers or bleeding, fluid retention, or kidney strain.

I want to be honest about the strength of this, though. It's based only on test-tube data, not real patient studies, so it's more of a theoretical concern than a proven problem. Still, since adrafinil is unregulated and hard on the liver, please run this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

Flurbiprofen tablets (sold as Flurbiprofen and Lurbiro) are used to relieve the pain, swelling, and stiffness of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

Flurbiprofen Sodium eye drops are a separate product used during eye surgery — specifically to keep the pupil from constricting (getting smaller) while the procedure is underway. This use applies only to the ophthalmic (eye drop) form.
