Interaction Deep Dive
Concomitant use of SUFentanil with serotonergic drugs has resulted in serotonin syndrome. If coadministration of SUFentanil and a serotonergic agent is required, carefully observe the patient, particularly during treatment initiation and dose adjustment. The onset of symptoms generally occurs within several hours to a few days of concomitant use, but may occur later than that. Discontinue SUFentanil if serotonin syndrome is suspected12.
