19-nor-dhea and Nadolol

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Nadolol and 19-nor-dhea in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

How we checked

Why No Interaction Is Listed for Nadolol

Interactions in our licensed database are recorded against drug classes, not just single drug names. Nadolol is filed under 5 classifications — including beta-blockers, antihypertensive drugs, seizure threshold lowering drugs. 19-nor-dhea has documented interactions with 1 drug class — the most serious being testosterone (moderate) — and none of Nadolol’s classifications are among them.

Classification data comes from our licensed Natural Medicines dataset. A medication can belong to classes beyond those recorded there, so this describes how the check was run — it is not a safety guarantee.

From the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of the FDA label for Nadolol. Read the label on DailyMed › Where a percentage is shown, it is the share of 7,530 voluntary FDA FAERS reports for Nadolol that mention that effect — a reporting proportion, not an incidence rate and not evidence the drug caused it. 19-nor-dhea’s licensed record lists no adverse effects our clinical vocabulary could match, so there is no 19-nor-dhea side to compare — that is a limit of the record, not a statement that 19-nor-dhea has no side effects.

“If you take nadolol (Corgard) for blood pressure, angina, or heart rhythm, treat this list with real care, and green tea is the surprise at the top. In a clinical study, green tea cut nadolol blood levels by roughly 85 percent, which can quietly leave you undertreated.”

About 19-nor-dhea

What is 19-nor-dhea?

  • Muscle building and bodybuilding
  • Increasing strength
  • Athletic performance
  • Supporting hormone levels
  • Body recomposition

19-nor-DHEA is a synthetic 'prohormone' marketed to bodybuilders as a precursor to nandrolone-like compounds, not a natural plant supplement. There is very little reliable human research on its safety or effectiveness, and products like it carry real risks to the liver, hormones, and heart. We do not recommend using it without close medical supervision, and it may be banned in sports and restricted by law in some places.

Not applicable (a synthetic or semi-synthetic hormone derivative, not a plant part) · Capsules, tablets, sublingual tablets, sometimes combined in 'prohormone' supplement blends

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether 19-nor-dhea is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our 19-nor-dhea record says about it on its own.

About Nadolol

What Is Nadolol Used For?

Brand names: Corgard, Nadolol

Nadolol tablets are used for two main conditions: high blood pressure (hypertension) and angina pectoris (ongoing chest pain caused by reduced blood flow to the heart). Lowering high blood pressure reduces the risk of stroke and heart attack.

For high blood pressure, nadolol may be prescribed on its own or combined with other blood pressure medications, especially thiazide-type diuretics (water pills). For angina, it is used for long-term management to help reduce how often chest pain occurs.
