Indacaterol falls under ORAL DRUGS — the group Agar interacts with.

Agar forms a thick gel, which may disrupt the absorption of nutrients and medications. Animal research suggests that consuming a diet consisting of 5% to 10% agar alters the absorption of nutrients from the diet. In one study, consuming a diet composed of 10% agar reduced the absorption of all evaluated minerals. Theoretically, agar may also impair the absorption of oral drugs.

Here's a bit of good news on this one. Indacaterol (Arcapta Neohaler or Onbrez Breezhaler) is a long-acting bronchodilator you breathe straight into your lungs through an inhaler. The whole concern with agar is that its swelling gel can grab onto pills and minerals in your gut and keep them from being absorbed fully. Since you're inhaling indacaterol rather than swallowing it, agar in your stomach really shouldn't get in its way.

This warning is also theoretical, drawn mostly from animal feeding studies, not from people taking this medicine. So for your breathing treatment, I wouldn't expect agar to weaken its effect or change how it works. Still, if you take other oral medicines, space them apart from agar and run your full list past your pharmacist.
