Oestrogen falls under ESTROGENS — the group Androstenedione interacts with.

Theoretically, androstenedione might increase the effects and adverse effects of estrogens.
Androstenedione is a precursor to estrogen and seems to increase estrogen levels. However, androstenedione is converted to estrogen only in low estrogen environments. Patients taking estrogen do not have low estrogen levels because of the estrogen treatment. Therefore, androstenedione is unlikely to be converted to estrogen in these patients. However, until more is known, use with caution or avoid using.

Here's the simple version: your body can turn androstenedione into estrogen, so in theory, stacking it on top of an estrogen medication could nudge your estrogen levels even higher. That might mean more of the usual estrogen-related effects, things like breast tenderness, bloating, nausea, headaches, mood changes, or spotting.

The reassuring part is that this is only a theoretical concern, not something proven in people. Androstenedione mostly converts to estrogen when your levels are low, and if you're already taking estrogen, your levels aren't low, so the extra push may not amount to much. Still, since androstenedione is risky, unregulated, and not proven to help, I'd skip it. Please run any supplement past your pharmacist or doctor first.
