Bempedoic Acid,Ezetimibe falls under ORGANIC ANION TRANSPORTER 3 (OAT3) SUBSTRATES — the group Banderol interacts with.

Small lab studies have found that Banderol may also inhibit OATP1B3 (Organic Anion Transporting Polypeptide 1B3), in addition to OATP1B1. If a drug is a substrate for both transporters, the risk of interaction with Banderol increases but the overall clinical significance is not well understood.

Here's the gist with Nexlizet (bempedoic acid plus ezetimibe), the cholesterol-lowering combo. Banderol has been shown in small lab dishes to block certain transporter proteins (called OATP1B1 and OATP1B3) that help move some medications into the liver. The thinking is that if Banderol slows those transporters, a bit more of a drug like this could stay circulating in your blood, which in theory could nudge up the chance of side effects such as muscle aches, stomach upset, or higher uric acid levels.

That said, I want to be honest: this is based on test-tube research, not real patients, so what it actually means in your body is unclear. It's not a reason to panic. Just loop in your pharmacist or doctor before combining them so they can keep an eye on things.
