Blueberry + Gliclazide
Gliclazide brand name: Diamicron.
Blueberry has a minor interaction with Gliclazide. Theoretically, blueberries or blueberry leaf extracts might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Gliclazide
Gliclazide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Blueberry interacts with.
Animal and in vitro research suggests that blueberry and/or blueberry leaf extracts can lower blood glucose levels.
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Gliclazide is a sulfonylurea, which means it works by nudging your pancreas to release more insulin to bring blood sugar down. The concern here is simple addition: concentrated blueberry leaf or fruit extracts may have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of their own, so stacking them on top of gliclazide could, in theory, push your sugar a little too low (hypoglycemia). That can show up as shakiness, sweating, dizziness, hunger, or feeling foggy.
I want to keep this in perspective. This is based only on lab and animal studies, the effect is rated minor and unlikely, and eating blueberries as food is not a worry at all. If you're thinking about a high-dose extract, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your readings.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Gliclazide page
“Gliclazide (Diamicron) lowers blood sugar on its own, so a supplement list this long deserves real respect. Most of the entries are herbs and nutrients that also drop glucose, fenugreek, bitter melon, and ginseng among them, and stacking them on top can tip you into hypoglycemia, meaning blood sugar low enough to cause shakiness, sweat…”

About Blueberry
What is Blueberry?
- Antioxidant support
- Heart health
- Brain and memory health
- Blood sugar support
- Eye health
- Urinary health
Blueberries are a nutritious fruit rich in antioxidants called anthocyanins, and eating them as part of a balanced diet is healthy and safe for most people. Concentrated supplements are marketed for heart, brain, and blood sugar health, but the evidence is mostly early and not strong enough to promise specific benefits. Enjoy blueberries as food, and talk to your pharmacist before using high-dose extracts.

Gliclazide Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Gliclazide as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Blueberry — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
