Cananga Oil and Clomiphene

We checked these two against our interaction database. Here is what we found.

No Known Interaction Found

We did not find a documented interaction between Clomiphene and Cananga Oil in our sources. This does not guarantee that the combination is completely free of risk — there is often limited research on supplements and herbal products, especially around drug interactions.

Worth understanding: our licensed dataset holds no drug-interaction record for Cananga Oil at all — not against Clomiphene, and not against any other medication we track. This verdict therefore rests on the absence of any recorded data, not on research that looked at this combination and found nothing. We cannot rule an interaction out.

If you decide to take both, the practical routine is simple: add one new thing at a time and note the date you started it. If the combination is going to disagree with you, it usually shows in the first days to a couple of weeks — and a start date turns “I’ve been feeling off” into something a pharmacist can actually work with. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Always talk with your pharmacist or doctor before making changes to your medications or supplements, particularly if you take several medications or have an ongoing health condition.

From the ADVERSE REACTIONS section of the FDA label for Clomiphene. Read the label on DailyMed › Cananga Oil’s licensed record lists no adverse effects our clinical vocabulary could match, so there is no Cananga Oil side to compare — that is a limit of the record, not a statement that Cananga Oil has no side effects.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Clomiphene page

“Clomiphene (Clomid, Serophene) is taken as a short, precisely timed course to trigger ovulation, so anything that weakens a dose can cost someone trying to conceive a whole cycle. That is why the 17 supplements listed here deserve genuine care, since every one of them can change how much of the pill the gut actually absorbs.”

Where does our data come from?

Cananga Oil is not yet covered by that licensed database, so its write-up cites publicly available medical sources directly (see the references below).
  • Citation library: 103,510 references behind our interaction content, 65,311 of them resolved to verified PubMed/DOI sources. See every Cananga Oil reference on this page ↓
  • Freshness: we automatically re-check this combination every week — this pair was last verified September 27, 2026. The Cananga Oil and Clomiphene records this page draws on were last updated June 22, 2026.
  • What “no known interaction” means: no documented interaction in the sources above — not a guarantee of safety. Supplements are studied far less than prescription drugs, so we say exactly what the evidence supports, and nothing more.

About Cananga Oil

What is Cananga Oil?

  • Relaxation and stress relief
  • Aromatherapy for calm or sleep
  • Perfume and fragrance
  • Skin and hair care products
  • Mood support

Cananga oil is a fragrant essential oil from the flowers of the Cananga odorata tree, closely related to ylang-ylang oil, and is used mainly in aromatherapy and perfumery for relaxation. There is little solid scientific evidence that it treats any medical condition, and like other essential oils it should never be swallowed and should be diluted before skin use. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have sensitive skin.

An interaction check asks whether these two react with each other — it does not ask whether Cananga Oil is a good idea for someone in your situation. Here is what our Cananga Oil record says about it on its own.

Cananga Oil: dosing

There is no established or standardized medical dose for cananga oil. It is used mainly as a scent rather than as a measured supplement. For aromatherapy, people typically add a few drops to a diffuser, and for skin use they dilute a small amount in a carrier oil such as coconut or jojoba oil. Never take it internally.

About Clomiphene

What Is Clomiphene Used For?

Brand names: Serophene, Clomid

Clomiphene tablets are indicated for women who are not ovulating normally and want to become pregnant. It is most likely to help women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), amenorrhea-galactorrhea syndrome, psychogenic amenorrhea, post-oral-contraceptive amenorrhea, and certain cases of secondary amenorrhea (absent periods of unknown cause).

Before starting treatment, other barriers to pregnancy — such as thyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, high prolactin levels, or male factor infertility — must be ruled out or treated. Clomiphene is not recommended for use in combination with other ovulation-inducing drugs or for IVF programs, and it is not approved for treating male infertility.
