Felbamate falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Cannabichromene (cbc) interacts with.

Using cannabichromene with drugs that have sedative properties may cause additive therapeutic and adverse effects.
Animal research shows that cannabichromene, given as a single dose intraperitoneally, increases the sedative response to the drugs hexobarbital, barbital, and zoxazolamine. However, this effect was not maintained when cannabichromene was given continuously. After receiving cannabichromene daily for 7 days, the sedative effect of these drugs was reduced when compared with a control group or a single dose of cannabichromene.

Here's the simple version: felbamate (Felbatol) is a seizure medicine that can also leave some people feeling drowsy, foggy, or unsteady. CBC may add to that calming effect. In animal studies, a single dose of CBC made sedating drugs hit harder, so combining the two could in theory mean more sleepiness, dizziness, or slowed thinking than felbamate alone.

Keep in mind this is early research from lab and animal work, not people, so we honestly can't say how strong this is in real life. Interestingly, in those same studies the extra sedation faded after a week of daily CBC. Bottom line: this isn't a reason to panic, but please run any CBC product by your pharmacist or doctor first, since they know your full seizure plan.

About Felbamate

What Is Felbamate Used For?

Brand name: Felbatol

Felbamate is not a first-line seizure medication. It is used only when a person's epilepsy has not responded well enough to other treatments and the seizures are severe enough that the serious risks of this drug are considered acceptable.

In adults, felbamate can be used alone or alongside other antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) to treat partial seizures (seizures that start in one part of the brain), with or without spreading to become a full seizure. In children, felbamate is used as an add-on treatment for both partial and generalized seizures linked to Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a severe form of childhood epilepsy. Felbatol is specifically labeled for these uses in both adults and children.
